For the last two years, I have volunteered as a judge for the annual Jersey Shore Science Fair. As a judge, I have had the opportunity to review, critique, and provide feedback for science projects completed by students ranging from elementary through high school grade levels, with a focus on computer science projects.
I served as a Software Engineer Mentor for a FIRST Robotics team out of Trenton, NJ for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. I was a member of a team of 6 engineers that guided the students through the requirements, development, design, implementation, and testing phases for a robot to be used in competition.
I also served as a Software Engineer Mentor for a FIRST Lego League Robotics team out of Trenton, NJ for the 2015 season. I was a member of a team of 6 engineers that helped middle school students learn the ins and outs of developing a piece of software using Lego EV3 bricks and a high-level Lego-based programming language.
